Saints of Old Florida

30A beach florida forgottencoast inspiration portstjoe saintsofoldflorida

Last month during my travels I ducked into Joseph's Cottage (https://www.josephscottage.com/) in Port St. Joe to pick up a book I heard about called Saints of Old Florida. It is a beautiful book filled with pictures, stories, and recipes that relate to the Florida I know. Not the other Florida, but the quiet, peaceful panhandle. It might as well be in a different state than the parts that make gruesome national headlines. I'm very fortunate to conjure up the pleasant thoughts that I do when I hear the word Florida, and bought the book for my parents who introduced me to this place for a gift to celebrate their 40th anniversary. I expect that they will enjoy it for years and I hope it will eventually return to me. Here are a few pictures. These shots really aren't staged - the area is that picturesque. I had a similar shot to the starfish picture that I captured on a sunset walk down the beach just a few weeks ago. Go visit if you can. You'll fall in love.

I'm still working on a pattern that will do it justice.
